Sophus Emil Andersen ( December 8, 1859 - September 19, 1923 ) was a Danish composer , teacher and music critic. Son of Fritz Andersen .
As a child, Sophus Andersen learned to play the piano and violin . Became a student in 1877 and then studied composition with Thorvald Hansen and sang with Albert Meyer , at whose conservatory he was later employed. In 1890 he graduated as a teacher and worked for some years as a teacher. Hans received the Anchor Scholarship in 1906 and studied in Germany, France, Italy and the Near East.
