Based on my rudimentary music studies 40 years ago, today I am proposing me write music only as a "hobby".
I'm not a musician, just have some knowledge of guitar and keyboard, read and understand fairly well a score and know a little harmony.
What step for you is not exactly a musical composition, but, some experimentation with instruments on some topic.
Use for this a mini-keyboard (USB) in NOTION5 (sheet music editor) with VST instruments MIROSLAV Philharmonik (sample sounds of orchestral instruments)
