Alan Riffle is an American music teacher and composer/arranger hailing originally from South Charleston, West Virginia. He studied at Virginia Commonwealth University under former New York Philharmonic saxophonist and woodwind doubler, Albert Regni.
An active performer in the Williamson area on woodwinds and keyboard, he also appears regularly in the pit orchestra as a woodwind doubler with the Charleston Light Opera Guild. In addition, he plays piano and woodwinds with the Southern West Virginia Community Band.
Riffle currently serves as Director of Bands at Tug Valley High School in Mingo County, West Virginia, where he teaches music theory, directs the wind ensemble, and oversees the rock band and chamber ensembles program.
