The old basque melody "Ehun ta bikoa" appears in the
collection of ancient Basque dances published by Joan
Inazio Iztueta in 1824. Even though these Old Melodies
were alive in the 17th and 18th centuries (some of them
dating back to an earlier period), they were on the
point of being lost by the turn of the 19th century.
