written by Alejandro Sieveking and originally directed
by Víctor Jara, who was one of the most important
musicians of the “Nueva Canción Chilena”. Víctor
Jara's direction emphasized on the actors'
choreographies, and he eliminated a large part of the
songs that Sieveking had planned so that the work would
be a musical comedy. However, I didn't find out if the
five instrumental pieces from the album "La Remolienda"
were actually used for the play and if they were
performed on stage. If you know more about the play's
music, please write a comment and let us know! The
notes and tabs in my transcriptions of the second and
the fourth piece are notated in E minor, but to play
the pieces in the original key of G minor you will need
to use a capo on the 3rd fret.
