Sociétaire : SGAE | code IPI de l'artiste : 612.028.100 Juan A. Pérez was born in Carrión de los Céspedes (Seville) in 1989. When he was only 6 years old, he began his musical career in the local music school under the tutelage of Pepe Benítez and José Antonio López.
At the early age of 8, he joined the Banda de Música de Carrión de los Céspedes, marking the beginning of a career that continues to this day and of which he was director between 2011 and 2013.
His career as a composer began with the Dutch publishing house Molenaar Edition, where he published his first works: San Diego and Siracusa. In 2021, he joined Tierolff Publishing, also from the Netherlands. This partnership marked an important milestone in his career, as the publisher is renowned for its commitment to artistic excellence and the publication of high quality works, which has led him to win several awards, such as the Akademia Awards in Los Angeles for his work Hispalis in 2022 or the ISAC International Music Composition of Japan for his work Lords of Velvet in 2023.
His music has transcended frontiers, being performed both nationally and internationally, covering countries such as Norway, Italy, Portugal, France, Germany, Holland, Japan, Korea and Mexico. It is worth mentioning his work Habanera, which has achieved an exceptional impact by being covered, recorded and performed in more than twelve countries around the world.
He teaches clarinet at the Santa Cecilia Music School, is a member of the clarinet quartet “The Quartet Klarinett” and is a member of the International Board of the Arquetopia Foundation based in Mexico, Peru and Italy, where he is closely involved with The Clarinet Camerata of Mexico.
