He was a music scholar and composed over 4,000 gospel songs during his lifetime. Samuel W. Beazley maintained a successful publishing business in Chicago, Illinois. He died in Chicago on September 16, 1944. He was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 1992. |
