1. Blow gently, you mountain breeze, to keep my baby cool,
You, sky beam, get down to earth and touch my baby smoothly.
Sleep tight my little baby,
Sleep tight my dear one.
2. A face of an angel that glows with Virgin’s grace,
And her Son’s cross, a pride on the chest.
Sleep tight in your pen,
Sleep tight my little lamb.
3. Let yourself be taken in golden and sweet dreams,
And let them bring smiles on your lips.
Sleep tight my little angel,
Sleep tight, you virgin flower.
4. You, turtledoves, tell me what you say to your cherished ones,
When you hold them in your soft wings at nights.
Sleep tight my precious baby,
Sleep tight my dear one.
5. If you’re mad for your babies, I say I die for mine,
As you have plenty, whereas I have one and only.
Sleep tight my little baby,
Sleep tight my only one.
