“Inyoka” is an isiXhosa word meaning snake. In
Africa, there are many venomous snakes, but none as
deadly as the mamba. Consequently, the mamba is often
synonymous with fear. This fear was the inspiration for
“Inyoka.”
The piece consists of three parts: "Mamba", "Chase" and
"Neurotoxin" with a repetition of "Mamba" at the
end.
