The Golden Bough is taken from a book by Fraser in the
late 1890s which argues that every faith has a
component of a slayed king. Christianity clearly
follows this pattern.
This piece is essentially a chord study focusing on
inversions across the neck while coordinating both
hands. I have designated such folk, but classical or
progressive are also valid manners of
interpretation.
