Directed by Ron Howard. This collection contains the pieces performed by the great Italian tenore in the biopic docu-film Pavarotti directed by Ron Howard, come out on June 2019. The tracklist is composed by 23 titles, mostly from the opera repertoire but also from the pop one. This project has been developed in collaboration with Decca Music Group, which has released a CD with the same contents.

Romantic Arias for Classical Guitar is a collection of the world’s most beloved songs from the world of opera. An aria is a song performed during an opera that listeners are the most familiar with.These “pop songs of opera' provide an entry point for those unfamiliar with the opera repertoire considered by many as the most expressive genre of western music. For those who are familiar with the world of opera you willrecognize the selections here as the arias most beloved by millions of listeners around the world. This project a labor of love by master guitarist Steve Eckels contains the most famous melodies by composers Verdi andPuccini including the great operas La Traviata  Madame Butterfly  La Bohème  Turandot  Nabucco  Tosca and Rigoletto. Alsoincluded are Massenet’s Meditation Delibes’ Flower Duet Offenbach’s Barcarolle  Bizet’s Habanera and others. The pieces have been arrangedfor recreational or concert guitarists and have been meticulously fingered and engraved for ease of learning. The author has also provided music reading warm-ups to assist in learning the pieces. on Themes of Giacomo Puccini-The famous Puccini motifs in this work are taken from Tosca (E lucevan le stelle) Turandot (Nessun dorma) Gianni Schicci (O mio babbino caro) and a quite funny little persifl age of the aria Senti L’ora e vicina from Tosca. The Spirit of Puccini has testing moments for each of the principal players of the band´s sections. Even although the music was inspired by this famous Italian composer Hermann Pallhuber has succeeded in creating a piece of ‘real band music’ combining both the Italian influences and the modern British brass band sound.

When Giacoma wrote his 'Tosca Fantasia' in 1900 he was serving in the Italian army as a Clarinetist and band master. His paraphrase is totally in tune with the times since music lovers were wild about chamber-music arrangements of large popular works for performance in concert or at home.In his 'Tosca Fantasia ' Giacoma uses various themes from Puccini's opera including the famous Clarinet solo that precedes Cavaradossi's aria 'E lucevan le stelle.' The solo instrument shifts very effectively between bel canto vocal lines that allow the clarinet to fully revel in its beauty and the virtuoso arabesques thatcan be performed so compellingly on the clarinet.

50 Arrangements-These original transcriptions of fifty popular opera melodies for solo Piano constitute about half of the current performance repertoire. From A da to Turandot and more the collection includes contributions from nearly all ofthe major composers.
