La Symphonie n°5 en ut mineur (opus 67), dite `Symphonie du Destin`, a été composée par Ludwig van Beethoven entre 1805-1807, et fut créée en 1808 à Vienne. Le compositeur dédia l' uvre au prince Lobkowitz et au comte Razumovsky, diplomate russe qui avait commandé trois des quatuors à cordes de Beethoven.Tout le génie de Beethoven se remarque dans cette symphonie devenue l'une des compositions les plus populaires et intenses de l'histoire de la musique.Elle se compose de quatre mouvements : Allegro con brio, Andante con moto, Scherzo - Allegro, Finale - Allegro. Le troisième et le quatrième mouvement s'enchaînent et s'imbriquent même l'un dans l'autre : Beethoven reprend le thème du scherzo avant la réexposition du dernier mouvement.Le motif représentatif de l' uvre qui apparaît dès la première mesure du premier mouvement est l'un des plus célèbres de la musique occidentale. Die Erstellung vorliegender Orgelbearbeitung bildet einen weiteren Baustein im Bemühen, aus Anlass des 250. Geburtstags im Jahre 2020 das Werk Beethovens auf historische Bearbeitungen für die Königin der Instrumente zu sichten und es in Neuausgaben alter sowie in neuen Orgelbearbeitungen in der édition bon(n)orgue vorzulegen. Erstaunlicherweise hat die Schicksalssymphonie bis heute keine vollständige Orgelbearbeitung gefunden. Der dritte Satz wird hier sogar erstmalig in einer Orgelbearbeitung vorgelegt. Mit dieser Ausgabe liegt nunmehr erstmals eine vollständige Bearbeitung der gesamten Symphonie vor. Die konzertante Aufführung setzt idealerweise ein nicht zu kleines, symphonisch disponiertes Instrument voraus. Die Registrierungsvorschläge stehen in der ästhetischen Tradition der klassischen französischen Orgelromantik (Cavaillé-Coll) und verstehen sich als unverbindliche Anhaltspunkte für die klangliche Umsetzung. Conversational Solfege is a curriculum for developing music literacy skills. It is organized around increasingly complex rhythmic and melodic content. Each new rhythmic or melodic element is discovered first in patterns and then reinforced with folk songs, rhymes, and classical examples. This CD provides 29 classical selections referenced in Conversational Solfege Level 3. These examples provide reinforcement for emerging literacy skills, and they also enable students to listen to wonderful classical examples with greater attention.
