This collection of the most beautiful 100 easy original compositions for piano presented by Schott contains a selection of works that accompany every pupil in the first years of his or her piano lessons.



The volume contains compositions from the days of Johann Pachelbel (1653-1706) to the days of Alexander Grechaninov (1864-1956), providing playing material from the high baroque period to the early 20th century. Apart from numerous individual pieces, there are also easy sonatas and sonatinas by Haydn, Cimarosa, Clementi, Mozart and Beethoven. Leopold Koželuch (also Koželuh) was among the leading musical figures of 18th-century Vienna well-known in his day as an excellent pianist and piano teacher. Six delightful sonatas have been selected from the complete edition of his piano sonatas published by Bärenreiter â?? namely the easiest as this album is specifically aimed at beginner and moderately advanced pianists. The edition includes Piano Sonatas No. 37 in G major No. 47 in E-flat major No. 7 in D major No. 46 in C major No. 10 in F major and No. 14 in G major inviting pianists to explore the piano music of the Viennese Classic.

Sonata in D major TWV 41:D9 - Sonata in G major TWV 41:G9-These three editions (BA 5880 BA 5889 BA 5890) each comprising two solo sonatas with basso continuo are all taken from Telemann’s famous Essercizii musici; a collection of 24 sonatas including 12 solo sonatas and 12 trio sonatas. These were moulded after Corelli’s Sonata da Chiesa and have four movements: slow-fast-slow-fast. The sonatas long thought to stem from the late 1730s are now believed to have first been published by the composer in approx. 1729. Wunderkind Sonatas Volume III for Piano and Violin K. 26-31 Editor: Wolf-Dieter Seiffert Fingering and bowing for Violin: Benjamin Schmid Fingering Piano: Ariane Haering In autumn 1765 Mozart's family was in Holland, not least at the request of Princess Caroline von Nassau-Weilburg. The fame of the prodigy Wolfgang Amadeus had already reached her so that she had an extraordinary desire to see this child (according to Leopold Mozart). The Sonatas for Piano K. 26-31 that can also have a violin accompaniment were composed in The Hague. They were published in 1766 and were naturally dedicated to the princess. An early copy which has nothing to do with Mozart was consulted by the New Mozart Edition as a primary source alongside the first edition. Our Urtext edition revises the musical text, deleting the misleading additions from this source. He was an outstanding pianist composer and Piano teacher whose pupils included Leopold Koželuch. This edition in two volumes contains all 23 of his surviving Piano sonatas many of which were previously accessible only in old prints or manuscripts. They are presented in chronological order bypublication date and are all of easy technical difficulty. A Commentary by the editor offers useful tips on performance practice.
