Alfred's Basic Piano Sight-Reading Level 1B teaches sight-reading in a systematic way by creating sight reading exercises based on the same concepts that the pupil is studying in Alfred's Piano Library Lesson Book Level 1B.

Alfred's Basic Piano Sight-Reading Level 2 teaches sight-reading in a systematic way by creating sight reading exercises based on the same concepts that the pupil has been studying in Alfred's Piano Library Lesson Book Levels 1A and 1B.

Ma mre l'oye (Mother Goose Suite) is typical of Ravel's style with its modal melodies, use of dance forms and rhythmic precision. For this suite, Ravel selected favorite French fairy tales with references to fantasy, dreams and legends of childhood, and provided simple and delicate settings for piano duet (one piano, four hands). Although featuring childhood themes, Ma mre l'oye is at the late intermediate to early advanced level. This teaching/performance edition contains the suite in its entirety and is based on the first edition published by Durand in 1910. Editors Gayle Kowalchyk and E. L. Lancaster have included expert fingering suggestions and hand redistributions for technical ease, and have suggested ways to perform grace notes and glissandi in footnotes. The primo and secondo parts are on separate pages with measure numbers in both parts for easy reference. Late intermediate to early advanced.

Lesson Book 4 is the last in the Music for Little Mozarts series. After a review the new concepts taught are: Flat and sharp sign; Tie; Crescendo and diminuendo. After reviewing C position and Middle C position G position is taught. All three positions are used alternately throughout the rest of the book with flat and sharp notes incorporated. When the student is finished with Lesson Book 4 he/she moves either into Alfred's Basic Piano Library Prep Course Level C or Alfred's Premier Piano Course Level 1B.
