From his huge output these new editions present the six quartets for Flute Violin Viola da Gamba or Violoncello and Basso Continuo that he wrote in Paris in the 1730s.Published with the title Nouveaux Quatuors en Six Suites by Le Clerc in Paris in 1738 these six pieces are suites with various sequences of movements each introduced by aprelude.Here Telemann shows himself committed to the French style. Georg Philipp Telemann's Deus Judicium Tuum for SATB.The prestigious Latin psalm setting 'Deus judicium tuum' [Ps. 71/72] is among the finest from Telemann?s pen. Its composition is associated with the beginning of his eight-month sojourn in Paris in the fall of 1737 during which time he celebrated musical triumphs in the French metropolis. As he himself reported with no little pride the piece ?was performed twice in three days by almost one hundred selected people in the Concert spirituel.? Three magnificent choral movements frame a richly-colored succession of demanding solo movements.

Sonata is a piece for Bb Soprano Saxophone and Piano composed by G. P. Telemann (1681-1767) and reviewed by Jean-Marie Londeix. Highly melodious this piece subtitled “Sicilianna” is quite challenging (upper intermediate/advanced level) and lasts 7 and a half minutes. The four parts of this piece are: 1. Andante (12/8 – tempo 50) 2. Spiritoso (3/4 – tempo 100) 3. Andante (4/4 – tempo 72) and Vivace (2/4 – tempo 120). Jean-Marie Londeix is a musician who studied the Saxophone and the Piano.
