Land of the Ancient Peoples-This impressive work by John Higgins is a descriptive essay for band reflecting the mysteries of Native American peoples and their kinship with nature. The varied musical sections are subtitled: “Enchanted Mesa”;“Adobe Village”; “Ancient Voices”; and “Mother Earth Father Sky.” The optional solo for recorder can be played by a solo flute or flute section.
