Haunting to exuberant, the Vigil movement from the entrance of the Lumen Christi to its thundering Amen!‚ are captured effectively by Trapp's masterful writing. Organists will find the writing challenging, yet very idiomatic for the instrument. Commissioned by Consortium member Dr. Jennifer Pascual, director of music at St. Patrick‚ Cathedral in New York City, this work was premiered in 2006.
