Rezs Sugár (1919-1988) was one of the most outstanding members of the generation taught by Zoltán Kodály, faithfully guarding, carrying on and renewing the traditions of his predecessors. The Hungarian national style is present throughout his works. The volume of choral works for mixed voices now being published contains fifteen choruses. Rezso Sugár (1919 - 1988) gilt als einer der herausragendsten Vertreter der von Kodály erzogenen Generation, ein treuer Hüter der Traditionen seiner Vorfahren, der diese fortführte und erneuerte. In seiner Kunst ist der ungarische Nationalstil allgegenwärtig.
