There has long been a need for a practical and easily accessible edition of the Orchester Probespiel. The contents of this booklet go back to suggestions by the German Music Council and is based on statistical surveys by the Deutsche Orchestervereinigung eV (DOV) as well as on the longtime professional experience of the editors as orchestral musicians and university educators. On the separately available CD the respective works (instrument with orchestra) are included.
