Both the Latin and the Hungarian versions of these short character pieces were set to music. Les UZ-topies de Bernard Lubat est principalement constitué de matériaux empiriques qui ont été récoltés à l'aide d'une quinzaine d'entretiens menés entre octobre 2015 et février 2016. L'ouvrage propose un condensé raisonné du projet que Bernard Lubat mène à Uzeste depuis qu'il est revenu s'y installer, voilà maintenant près de quarante ans. Souvent interrogé sur sa pratique musicale, les relations qu'il entretient avec ses fidèles partenaires de jeu, ou encore ses 'ébouriffantes années parisiennes', il est nettement plus rare qu'il soit précisément questionné sur le dessein politique accompagnant son transartistisme. Pourtant, Bernard Lubat est bien ce zoon politikon pour qui l'art est une médiation essentielle en ce qu'elle permet, avec d'autres moyens, de se lancer sur les chemins de l'émancipation. L'amusique 'd'ici d'en bas' n'a en effet vocation ni à divertir, ni à ornementer, ni à célébrer, mais à prendre (sa) pleine part à l'édification d'un front culturel de résistance populaire. Bernard Lubat se définit comme un citoyen d'art et d'essai, Amusicien poly-instrumentiste : musicien 'épatati-pataphysicien anartiste acharniste dégénéraliste chabadadaïste in situ-actionniste'. Fondateur de la Compagnie Lubat en 1976, il crée deux ans plus tard, à Uzeste, son village natal, des rencontres estivales manifestives dont la renommée n'est plus à faire (les hestejadas de las arts). Bernard Lubat cultive également, à l'année, une ruralité critique, mêlant mobilisations esthétiques, sociales et théoriques. Il a récemment sorti un album de piano solo (Improvisions, Cristal, 2015), ainsi qu'un opus en duo avec le guitariste Sylvain Luc (Intranquille, Cristal, 2016). Fabien Granjon est sociologue, Professeur en sciences de l'information et de la communication au sein de l'Université Paris 8 Vincennes à Saint-Denis. Il y dirige le Centre d'Etudes sur les Médias les Technologies et l'Internationalisation (CEMTI). Il a récemment publié, aux Presses des mines : avec Michel Sénécal (2015), une anthologie en trois volumes des écrits d'Armand Mattelart (1970-1986), ainsi que Matérialismes, culture et communication.
