Vonbulow-Lebert-The Piano Sonata No. 25 in G Major (Op. 79) was written in 1809 and first published in 1810. Sometimes referred to as the Cuckoo Sonata it is scored in three movements: Presto Alla Tedesca - Andante - Vivace. It is one of Beethoven's shorter sonatas taking only ten minutes to perform. PIANO SONATA NO. 1 was written in 1955. Fiser worked on it during his last year at the Prague Conservatoire under the supervision of Emil Hlobil. The piece is one of Fiser’s early works which still respect a traditional compositional approach. Unlike his major and late piano sonatas, this sonata has three movements, each representing the traditional Classical-Romantic form. The sonata was premiered by Fiser’s fellow-student and friend Antonín Jemelík in Theatre D34 on 30 January 1956. The new setting for this piece is based on the single edition to date (SNKLHU, 1957); only with regard to a few inconsistencies in the score was it necessary to consult the composer’s manuscript (kept at the National Museum – Czech Museum of Music, acquisition number 297/2006). (Op. 13) is one of his most celebrated compositions. It has been arranged for the Guitar by the Spanish guitarist pianist and composer Francisco Tárrega (1852-1909). Tárrega is known for revolutionisingclassical Guitar technique and also for transcribing many keyboard works for Guitar from the great classical composers including Beethoven Mendelssohn and Chopin.

Piano Sonata in b minor op. 5-During his youth Richard Strauss composed a large number of works for piano solo among them numerous sonatas. Yet it was only the Sonata in b-minor that he obviously considered important enough to want to see in print. It was composed in two versions presumably between winter of 1880 and spring of 1881 and published one year later. Here Strauss still plainly follows his compositional forebears from German Romanticism. The two middle movements of this demanding sonata in particular directly recall Mendelssohn???s Songs Without Words??? and scherzi. This is the first Urtext edition of this piano sonata.

Written in 1747 while C P E Bach was in Berlin probably for his then employer Frederick the Great or for Frederick's teacher J J Quantz this work was not printed until 1763. Like his father J S Bach C P E Bach chose the key of A minor for his only compositon for solo Flute but it's structure is quite different to that of Bach senior. Like J. S. Bach's Partita in A minor (BWV 1013) the sonata edited here is considered one of the most important works for solo Flute of the eighteenth century. In contrast to J. S. Bach's composition which still represents the traditional polyphonic and figurative style the work of the youngBach displays great sensitivity and occasionally an almost romantic expressiveness. This new edition of C. P. E. Bach's Sonata in A minor is based on a copy in the anthology 'Musikalisches Mancherley'; the editor owes his thanks to the Zurrich Central Library.

The first three movements of Johannes Brahms? E Minor Cello Sonata were composed in 1862 the last movement was written in 1865.
