George Frideric Handel's (1685-1759) Sonata No. 6 is well-known to the violin repertoire. Therefore, when French saxophonist, Marcel Mule (1901-2001) arranged the popular piece for the saxophone in 1951, it was very well-received. The Sonata No. 6 is made up of four movements: Adagio, Allegro, Largo and Allegro non troppo. Handel's Sonata No. 6 was first published in 1732. Mule's editions ensure that the saxophone part contains the articulation, phrasing and breath marks necessary to the instrument. For all classical saxophonists, this Mule arrangement of the popular Sonata No. 6 is essential.

Italian composer, Domenico Scarlatti (1685-1757) is well-known for his Keyboard compositions. His 555 Keyboard Sonatas remain ever popular to this day, and it is for this reason that this eleventh and final volume is indispensableto performers of the genre. Originally composed for the Harpsichord, Organ or early Pianoforte, the Sonatas display the riveting use of discords and unconventional modulations to remote keys. It is also thought that much ofScarlatti's Keyboard music contains influences of Iberian music, considering that he spent much of his working life in the service of the Spanish and Portuguese royal families. The eleventh volume, comprising Sonatas 507-55,includes the popular and recognisable Sonata in E major (K. 531). Bearing in mind that Domenico Scarlatti was a highly competent and popular Keyboard player in his day, so much so that he was employed in the service of two royalfamilies, his Sonatas are composed with much experience, understanding and expertise, creating an essential addition to the repertoire of all Keyboard players of the Baroque genre.

The Sonate concertante in G major for piano and flute was published posthumously, as the composer's oeuvre dernier, by S. A. Steiner in Vienna in 1810. The present edition is based on the printed copy in the Musikarchiv of the Stift Melk, Austria. The instrumental parts are of equal importance and of moderate difficulty, and the work maintains an effective balance between melodic, virtuoso and even slightly contrapuntal elements. This is a worthy addition to the Viennese classical flute repertoire.
