Nino Rota composed the 3 children's songs in 1935 on poems by the Italian poet, anthroposophist and children's author Lina Schwarz. Three everyday situations are illuminated from a child's perspective in poetic images: the child, who is annoyed by the carelessnessss of the sparrows against the breadcrumbs scattered around them - the dreamy young fisherman, lost in the tranquility of the sky and the sea, teased by the fish - and that homecoming child telling his mother about his day in the country. Italian.
