This glorious collection of beautiful choral music by composer James Whitbourn includes fifteen short works drawn from his oeuvre from the first few years of the 21st century. Many of his greatest compositions areincluded in The Choral Collection with many of the pieces working perfectly for seasonal performances while also reflecting the many fruitful collaborations of Whitbourn's distinguished career. Allworks are arranged for SATB Choir. James Whitbourn has become renowned throughout the world for his acclaimed compositions and settings of numerous texts. He has been described as truly originaland an innovator of contemporary British choral music collaborating with people like Archbishop Desmond Tutu and the Choir of King's College Cambridge. The former appears here as A Prayer Of Desmond Tutu a setting ofone of the Archbishop's prayers. His arrangements and compositions for the King's College Choir have been universally critically acclaimed with A Great And Mighty Wonder Nunc Dimittis and Were You There?representing these hugely popular collaborations. Whitbourn has also had a very close relationship with the BBC since his beginnings as a composer working with them on three pieceswithin The Choral Collection. Eternal Rest and Give Us The Wings Of Faith were both composed specifically for television broadcast the former (in its orchestral form) was played for thefuneral of the Queen Mother in 2002. His longest work for which he is most famous is a setting of text from'the Diary of Anne Frank'. There Is No Speech Or Language comes from this work taking its text from othersources but that still maintain the beauty and tragedy of the wider piece. The Choral Collection of fifteen compositions by James Whitbourn is full of beautiful haunting

These wonderful songs are settings of texts from Shakespeare's The Tempest and A Midsummer Night's Dream. The three pieces were originally composed for The British Federation of Music Festivals National Competitive Festival June 1951. Scored for SSATB a cappella though this edition also includes a Piano reduction for rehearsal purposes.

Little Tree consists of three short choral settings of poems by E.E.Cummings with a total duration of around 6 minutes. The first song Little tree is in three voices(SSA); the next movement I carry your heartwith me progresses into four voices; the final song now is a ship opens briefly with two solo voices but ends in 6 vocal parts. Accompanying all three pieces is a simple marimba part which acts as a continuoinstrument. In the opening movement it simply doubles the lowest vocal part; in the later pieces it provides a simple basis for the choral harmony. Judith Weir's wonderful vocal score for SSA and Marimba accompaniment. Idealfor children and female voiced choirs.

Trois Pièces Pour Une Musique De Nuit is a set of three melodious pieces by Eugène Bozza written for Flute Oboe Clarinet and Bassoon. This book contains all the parts as well as the full score. The three pieces are quite distinctive:  - Andantino: 6/8 - Allegro Vivo: 3/8 – tempo 104 - Moderato: 2/4 – tempo 72 This piece is highly representative of the compositions by Eugène Bozza .Eugène Bozza won different prizes at the Conservatoire de Paris such as the First Prizes for the Violin conducting and composition as well as the Grand Prix de Rome. He composed several operas chamber works and ballets among others.

Grade 1 - Score Only-These lovely settings of three Polish Christmas carols include good opportunities for teaching style and musicality as you prepare for your winter performance. While “Three Polish Carols” is meant to be performed as acomplete suite directors have the additional security of knowing they can present any of the three pieces as stand alone arrangements if necessary.
