PAROLES
JACQUELINE:
Equations and diagrams, all dancing on the board,
Hints of great things to learn and worlds to be explored.
Time could be altered, the equations seem to say,
Now why don't the books just simply say it that way?

JOE:
It is not a true tensor, it's not always conserved.
And we know from gravity that space-time can be curved.
Now, I saw the same equation when twenty three.
Don't take that road, you would never get your degree.

JACQUELINE:
At twenty we see all the possibilities
And we never think of our capabilities.
In our youth, we dream of the bright stars in the sky
And aim on the bright star above our heads on high.

PROFESSOR ADAMS:
At thirty there are some hungry mouths to be fed;
You will find some of your foolish dreams must be shed.
At the end of a long starry night you must awake.
Your dreams must stay here on Earth for your family's sake.

PROFESSOR COMPTON:
At fifty you look back on choices you have made.
You see the things undone because you were afraid.
It grows so hard to see your star in the dark night.
The star you saw in your youth now does not seem so bright.

PROFESSOR DAVIS:
At sixty you count your pennies and plan for ease.
And you hope through long winter nights you will not freeze.
Your comfort now yours, you have paid for with your dreams;
Your star returns but your hopes are lost it now seems.
